A grounded guide for women seeking clarity, direction, or emotional steadiness, even when they’re not sure what they’re looking for.

Many women arrive at my website after typing things into Google like:  “help with burnout”,  “support for life changes”,  “gentle coaching for women”, “why am I overwhelmed all the time”, “how to find myself again”,  “nervous system support”, “life coach for women going through change”.

They’re not searching for a program or a strategy. They’re searching for relief, clarity, space, and a way to feel like themselves again.

If that’s you, this blog is a soft place to land. Below, I’ve gathered some of the most common questions women ask about my coaching work,  along with gentle,
grounded answers that reflect the heart of what I offer. And woven through it all is my own lived experience. My books, Horses, Heartache & Healing and Losing Monty, share the real, unpolished journey that shaped the way I hold space for others. I don’t coach from theory alone, I coach from a life that has been broken open and rebuilt with intention, compassion, and a deep respect for the human spirit.

Coaching for Women Navigating Change, Overwhelm & Self-Discovery

1. What kind of coaching do you offer?
My coaching is gentle, grounded, and awarenessbased. It’s designed for women who are navigating:

  • burnout
  • life transitions
  • grief
  • identity shifts
  • neurodivergence
  • emotional overwhelm
  • a sense of “I don’t know who I am anymore”

This is not performance coaching, business coaching, or sport coaching. It’s spacious, reflective, and deeply human, a place to understand what’s happening inside you and what you need next.

2. How is your coaching different from traditional life coaching?
Traditional coaching often focuses on goals, action plans, and accountability. My work focuses on:

  • nervous system awareness
  • emotional regulation
  • inner clarity
  • self-understanding
  • embodied presence
  • compassionate reflection

It’s less about “fixing” and more about remembering who you are beneath the noise.

This approach grew from my own healing journey, which I write about in Horses, Heartache & Healing. It’s coaching that honours the whole person, not just the part trying to keep everything together.

3. Do I need to have a clear goal before starting coaching?
Not at all.

In fact, most women come to me because they don’t know what they want, they just know something isn’t working. Common starting points include:

  • “I feel lost.”
  • “I’m overwhelmed and don’t know why.”
  • “I’m exhausted but can’t slow down.”
  • “I feel like I’m disappearing.”
  • “I’m going through a big change and need support.”

Clarity emerges naturally when you have space to breathe and someone to walk beside you.

4. Can coaching help with burnout, stress, or emotional exhaustion?
Yes, and gently. Burnout isn’t solved by pushing harder or setting more goals. It’s healed through:

  • nervous system awareness
  • compassionate boundaries
  • reconnecting with your body
  • understanding your patterns
  • slowing down enough to hear yourself again

Many women tell me that coaching gives them the first sense of relief they’ve felt in years.

5. Is this coaching suitable for neurodivergent women?
Absolutely. My coaching is deeply informed by lived experience with neurodivergence, sensitivity, and burnout.

Women who are autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive, or simply wired a little differently often find this work grounding, validating, and spacious in a way they haven’t experienced before.

6. What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions are calm, conversational, and tailored to what you need that day. They may include:

  • reflective dialogue
  • somatic awareness
  • gentle inquiry
  • nervous system grounding
  • noticing patterns and emotional cues
  • exploring what’s emerging in your life

There’s no pressure, no performance, and no expectation to be “on.” It’s a space where you can exhale.

7. Do you combine coaching with horses?
Some women choose coaching only. Others choose equine-informed sessions. Some blend both.

Coaching and horses complement each other beautifully, but coaching on its own is powerful, grounding, and transformative.

8. How do I know if your coaching is right for me?
We might be a good fit if you’re longing for:

  • clarity
  • emotional steadiness
  • a sense of self
  • gentle support
  • a way to navigate change
  • someone who understands the complexity of being human

If you’re tired of being strong, tired of holding everything together, or tired of feeling alone in your experience… this work may be exactly what you’ve been searching for.

A Personal Note
I don’t coach from a pedestal. I coach from lived experience, from grief, burnout, reinvention, and the deep inner work of finding my way home to myself.

My books, Horses, Heartache & Healing and Losing Monty, share parts of that journey. Many women tell me they found comfort, recognition, and courage in those pages. If you’re curious about my story or want to feel less alone in your own, they’re a gentle place to begin. You can buy my books here.

And if you feel called to explore coaching with me, I’d be honoured to walk beside you.

You don’t have to navigate this season alone. There is space for you.
